ALLIANCE FORMED FOR SOLAR-POWERED COMMUNITY
Imperial Homes Corp. (IHC) has partnered with renewable energy developer Enfinity Group to build what will be known as the first solar-powered mass housing community in the country.
Emma M. Imperial, president and chief executive officer of IHC, told reporters that the company will formally launch Via Verde located in the municipality of Sto. Tomas next year.
“We will have 1,000 houses with installed solar panels on the rooftop. The grand launch will be on Jan. 14″ Ms. Imperial said in a briefing in Makati City.
“We expect to sell all 1,00 units one year after the grans launch.” she added.
The project entails a $ 1-million investment for the solar installation.
Via Verde is a three-hectare property featuring row houses and two-bedroom townhouses each installed with 500-watt solar panels.
IHC builds low-cost and socialized housing in parts of the Bicol region as well as in Las Pinas, Cavite, Batangas, Laguna and Nueva Ecija.
