THE Philippines rose to the top 10 position in the Gender Global Gap report released by the World Economic Forum in 2018 as one of the nations where men and women were more equal based on economic participation and opportunity, educational attainment, health and survival and political empowerment. Though the country slipped to the 16th spot last 2019, the Philippines still enjoys a place within the top 20 countries throughout the world.
