Imperial Homes Corporation, the first PropTech developer in the country, bagged another global recognition as the World’s First Recipient of Building Resiliency Index (BRI) Certification from IFC/ World Bank Group.
IFC presented this certification on, the 24th of March 2022, to Ms. Emma M. Imperial, Chair and CEO of Imperial Homes Group of Companies. The BRI Certification validates that IHC’s disruptive sustainability efforts in its housing communities pass the national standards and criteria for green building resiliency.
With Connovate’s technology, the homes of IHC received the resilience rating of “B” which is currently the highest BRI category for affordable housing.
The “B” rating from BRI proves that IHC’s home and property developments incorporate the latest building code requirements that can stand against hazards such as 7-8.4 magnitudes for earthquakes, 320 km/hr wind for typhoons, and a 2-hour rating for fire.
BRI is an IFC’s resilient assessment framework and hazard mapping that aims to provide developers, financial institutions, insurers, and government an efficient way to assess, improve and disclose the resilience of buildings.
IHC’s integration of clean and natural energy sources and building materials like Solar solution and Connovate’s high-strength concrete panels mitigate climate change while improving housing and living standards.
IHC is also a proud IFC model for Excellence in Design for Greater Efficiencies or EDGE, championing sustainability for mass housing developments.
